Location: Oko, Nigeria

Salary: circa £45,000pa.

Our client, Thomas Adewumi International College in Oko (TAICO), Nigeria, is looking for a Deputy Head Teacher to start September 2018.

TAICO is looking for a leader with a passion for educating, courage, integrity, a hunger for ‘stepping into your greatness’ and a flair for working with young people. The Deputy Head Teacher will be responsible for enforcing the Policy of Board of Trustees as well as serve as Secretary of the Board. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a subject class and may be promoted to Head Teacher/Principal when the current Head Teacher retires.


The prospective candidate will:

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Humanities or Art. A higher degree such as a Masters or PhD and professional training in education or management will be an advantage

Have extensive post-qualification teaching experience

Be conversant with either the British and/or Nigerian Educational Curriculum

Be a good team player who will fit in well with an optimistic and positive culture.
